The Sport Industry Group is a networking organisation that sits at the heart of sport and are the organisers of the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards and the Sport Industry Summit.

Through editorial content and a series of events analysing the business, the Sport Industry Group looks to scrutinise the bad and celebrate best, helping set the agenda for the world’s most dynamic industry.

The Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards recognise and reward the best the sport business has to offer in marketing, PR, sponsorship, new media, publishing, advertising and design. To the attendees it is also the most important networking occasion in the sport business calendar.

The Sport Industry Group has also identified the unique opportunity to create an annual Sport Industry Summit which sees international and South African experts brought together on one special day at the headquarters of Deloitte in Johannesburg.

Delegates are given the opportunity to share best practice and focus on specific areas including PR, sponsorship, digital media, bidding for international events and the governance of federations and sports teams.  Through participation in various panel sessions and interactive workshops, this is a truly inspirational day for the South African industry.
