VIRGIN ACTIVE SPORT INDUSTRY AWARDS 2013

On Thursday 7th February the world of sport came together for the Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards 2013, celebrating the best commercial performances in sport from the past year. Key figures from across the industry and a host of top celebrities descended on the magnificent Emperors Palace for an ‘unbelievable’ night of celebrations.

Highlights included legendary football legend Jomo Sono receiving the Johnnie Walker Lifetime Achievement Award, Oscar Pistorius presenting the Proteas with the Deloitte Outstanding Contribution to South African Sport, a red carpet packed with sporting legends and a whole host of deserved winners who were the toast of a room packed with over 1,200 guests.

Celebrity guests included football hero Lucas Radebe, Paralympic legend Natalie du Toit, Olympic gold medalist Cameron van der Burgh, former Springbok captain Bob Skinstad, flying rugby star Bryan Habana, pro surfer Roxy Louw, top swimmer Lyndon Ferns, Springboks giant CJ Van Der Linde and many more.
