After starting her career with IMG in London, Lynn has worked locally and internationally in the sports business industry for 20 years. Her experience includes working on Rugby World Cups, Wimbledon, Major League Baseball in Europe, the ICC Twenty20 World Championships, the South African Open and the Women’s World Cup of Golf.
During her time abroad Lynn was part of the International Cricket Council’s commercial team managing sponsorship, broadcast, event delivery and other commercial programmes for all ICC events. She also managed two of the CWC 2007 venues in the West Indies. Subsequently Lynn joined Visa’s international sponsorship team to manage the successful delivery of its global partnership with FIFA for the 2009 Fifa Confederations Cup and 2010 Fifa World Cup and then served as the General Manager, Sponsorship and Events for Barclays Africa. Here her role incorporated the management of one of South Africa’s largest and most diverse sponsorship portfolios, including the team sponsorships of both the Springboks and Bafana Bafana and title sponsorships of the Absa Premiership, the Absa Currie Cup, the Absa Cape Epic and the Absa KKNK.
While consulting to the industry she led the strategic development and delivery of Cricket South Africa’s 2015 World Cup campaign (#ProteaFire). She was appointed CEO of the Absa Cape Epic team in 2015 before joining the CSA T20 Global League team and serving as general manager for the Stellenbosch based franchise.
Lynn is currently an independent consultant and is also a non-executive member on the board for the Sports Science Institute of South Africa.
