Monde started his broadcasting career at the SABC, before joining eTV and then in 2016, joining Viacom Africa. Monde has cut his teeth at making entertainment television which he has loved doing having spent 16 years at eTV across a variety of roles before taking on the role of vice president for the BET channel, youth and music at Viacom last year.
At eTV, Monde Twala helped to create and set up e.tv's channel offering for its OpenView HD free-to-air satellite offering from Platco Digital, including local content and youth focused channels like eKasi+ and eToonz+. In addition, Monde was first the executive producer for the channel's soaps Backstage and Rhythm City, eSibobo and it’s now defunct breakfast show Morning Edition . Monde’s final position was as the Managing Director of eTV Channels before serving as the group head for channels from 2009 to 2014.
Monde brings a wealth of broadcasting experience to the Judging panel with a wealth of knowledge and diverse skills plus a deep understanding of audiences and all-round expertise of driving a diverse, multi-channel network will help the panel in the ever expanding genre of content creation.
This is Monde’s first appearance on the Sport Industry Awards judging panel after having to withdraw in 2017 due to time constraints and work commitments.
