Kia Motors unveils Wie tie-up- 15 Feb 2010 00:00:00

Car manufacturer Kia Motors has signed a sponsorship deal with women’s golf star Michelle Wie ahead of the start of this year’s LPGA Tour.

One of the most famous names on the women’s tour, Wie will become the official golf ambassador and spokesperson for Kia.

The Korean-based automaker has also announced that it will be title sponsor of the Kia Classic, to be played between 25th-28th March at La Costa Resort north of San Diego.

It will be the first time the resort has been on a national golf stage since the Match Play Championship left for Arizona in 2006.
