Tiger Woods to break silence

Tiger Woods to break silence- 19 Feb 2010 00:00:00

Tiger Woods will speak publicly for the first time since the scandal surrounding his private life last year.

Mark Steinberg, Wood’s agent, said that the golfer will address the media at the Sawgrass Clubhouse, Ponte Vedra, Florida, on 19th February.

Woods has been on an indefinite break from golf since admitting infidelity and has not spoken in public since a traffic accident outside his Florida home on 27th November, which provoked media reports detailing affairs with a number of women.

The revelations about his private life have seen a number of corporate sponsors terminate their associations with golfer, including General Motors, AT&T, Accenture and Gatorade.

Despite the impact of his adultery scandal Woods remains the richest athlete in the world according to the second annual ‘Fab 40’ list released by business magazine Forbes this month.

Three news wire services will be present at the news conference, as well as a small group of reporters chosen by the Golf Writers Association of America, with one camera to supply a live satellite feed around the world.
