YouTube adopts vuvuzela button

YouTube adopts vuvuzela button- 25 Jun 2010 00:00:00

Video sharing website YouTube has joined in with the party atmosphere at the South Africa World Cup by adding a vuvuzela button- in the form of a football - on its latest video player, allowing the sound of the trumpet to play alongside the video being watched.

The site has introduced the button as the world begins to adopt the traditional South African football instrument.

World Cup organisers have said that they will not ban vuvuzelas despite huge criticism from players, coaches and broadcasters.

Clicking the button will activate an endless drone of vuvuzelas – a noise that has been compared to a large swarm of bees.

The button is sure to attract more viewers to the video sharing site that receives millions of hits every day.
