The identity of SARU’s new CEO is set to be revealed later today after completing a rigorous search.

The Union’s general council – which is constitutionally responsible for appointing the CEO – will hear the recommendations of an independent four-person committee who were charged with working through dozens of applications.

Free State president Harold Verster, Saru referees' manager and former Falcons CEO Andre Watson, Stellenbosch University's Jurie Roux, Saru national teams' manager Andy Marinos and Blue Bulls Company CEO Barend van Graan are the candidates for the job.

It is rumoured that Van Graan, Marinos and Roux are the three favourtites for the job.
