Referee chief looks to legal action

Referee chief looks to legal action- 6 Aug 2010 00:00:00

A possible court case could be on the horizon after the Tri-Nations refereeing debate has taken a new twist.

The International Rugby Board (IRB) referees chief Paddy O’Brien is reportedly planning legal action against former Australia coach Bob Dwyer.

Dwyer accused O’Brien of being partial to the All Blacks in the games against Australia.

Both players and referees have now openly questioned the application of the laws by certain match officials during the Tri-Nations series.
