BOARD REJECTS MODI'S 'BIAS' CLAIMS- 12 Aug 2010 00:00:00
India's cricket board has rejected a challenge by suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Lalit Modi to the change the panel that is probing charges of corruption against him.
Modi said last month that he is unwilling to cooperate with the board's current three-man disciplinary committee because two of its members - politician Arun Jaitley and businessman Chirayu Amin – claiming that they are ‘biased’ against him.
The panel is probing allegations of corruption, indiscipline and money-laundering around the Twenty20 IPL tournament.
The panel has until 25th October to decide whether action should be taken against Modi, which may include his permanent expulsion from the BCCI.
