Entries now open for Big 5

Entries for the Big 5 Challenge, part of the Knysna Oyster Festival, are now open, with athletes testing their endurance at events around the Western Cape.

To take part in the Big 5 Challenge a potential participant would have to complete each of the compulsory events:
• 80km Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna MTB race
• 15km Coelcanth Salomon Featherbed Trail Run
• Full Duesouth XTERRA presented by REHIDRAT® Sport
• 21km Pick n Pay Cape Times Knysna Forest Half Marathon 

Plus either:
• The 100km Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna Road Race 
or 
• The FHM Knysna Lagoon Challenge

The Knysna Oyster Festival runs between 1st-10th July 2011, and hopefuls can register online now.

The ‘Big 5’ format was introduced last year, with the idea of testing athletes who take on the challenge to the limit.

All participants receive 10% discounts on race entry fee’s as well as a number of other benefits during the festival.
