CSA keen to move on from scandal

CSA keen to move on from scandal- 25 Aug 2011 00:00:00

Cricket South Africa is confident the start of the new season will draw a line under the recent bonus scandal, with new sponsors secured but not revealed yet – according to CSA’s commercial manager, Richard Glover.

Glover said: ‘The new sponsors want us to draw a line under the bonus saga before we make any announcements’.

With just one month until the start of the new season, only Castle Lager has been linked with South African cricket – with sponsors yet to be named for the national T20 team, two domstic competitions, and all three international events.

On the advice of Azhar Bham SC, CEO Gerlad Majola was severely reprimanded at the boar’s annual meeting last weekend.

Cricket South Africa then declared the issue closed.
