Louis Oosthuizen has jumped eight places in the official world golf rankings after his second place finish at the Masters - but fellow South African and defending champion Charl Schwartzel dropped out the top 10 after a disappointing weekend.

Oosthuizen climbed to 19th in the latest rankings released after he lost out to American Bubba Watson on the second hole of a playoff at Augusta.

Schwartzel finished 18 shots off the pace, falling four positions to 12th in the global list.

The new champion Watson rose 12 places to fourth, while Luke Donald retained top spot despite finishing 13 strokes behind the leaders at Augusta.
