European Tour golfer, Thomas Aiken, is the latest golfer to join the roster at Dunlop Golf after the South African signed a ‘Full Staff’ endorsement agreement with the British golf brand.
Dunlop’s deal will see the 28 year-old wearing both Dunlop Collection clothing and headwear during the defence of his Spanish Open title this week. Aiken’s caddy Cliffie Botha will also carry a Dunlop Staff bag.
Aiken, who has 19 top ten European Tour finishes to his name, said: ‘I’m very excited to be working with a brand of the history and heritage of Dunlop. The latest golf range shows real quality and I’ve been hugely impressed by their ambition and innovation.’
‘It’s an honour to be associated with Dunlop. I believe it’s an exciting time for both of us and I look forward to shared success over the coming years.’
Sunny Singh, Head of Sports Marketing for Dunlop, added: ‘The addition of a player of Thomas’s quality speaks volumes for the ambition of Dunlop Golf. He’s a rising star on the European Tour and, with one Tour win already under his belt, the future looks extremely promising.’
As part of the deal, Aiken will work closely with Dunlop on its golf range, with a view to enhancing the brand’s products. He will also be testing irons from Dunlop’s NZ9 range.
Aiken joins a stable of Dunlop ambassadors including world number three Lee Westwood and 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke.
