Annalie graduated with a B.Com Marketing from the University of Pretoria and is also a graduate of the AAA School of Advertising.

She was previously Marketing Manager of SABC Sport (1991-1996) and in this capacity had extensive experience of the South African sporting environment and the ‘birth’ of sponsorship in South Africa.  Whilst at SABC Sport she was responsible for the launch of SupeRugby and worked extensively on the RWC 1995 and African Cup of Nations 1996 as well as the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Annalie initiated a sponsorship unit within an ad agency in 1997 - Bosman Johnson Sponsorship. In August 1999, she became MD of FCB Sponsorship, an integrated, specialised Sponsorship unit within FCB SA. She spent 6 years as Head of FCB Sponsorship.  Whilst there she worked on a number of Vodacom, Toyota, Energade and FNB sporting sponsorships, Edgars music sponsorships and SAFA’s 2006 World Cup bid. It was sponsorship, strategically being managed through the entire agency’s communications offerings.

In June 2002 Annalie started her own specialist sponsorship consultancy called Blue Daisy. Recent projects completed by Blue Daisy include sponsorship rights package valuations for Woordfees, Cape Town International Jazz Festival and KKNK, marketing workshops hosted for Cricket South Africa.

As Strategic Director of Repucom Africa, Annalie is intimately involved in on-going Repucom research projects including Repucoms SponsorLink tracker and client specific research projects such as Absa KKNK, Absa Cape Epic, Absa Premiership, Cricket South Africa #ProteaFire and Tsogo Sun.

Other strategic projects include broadcast valuation projects for Premier Inter-Schools Rugby, Sponsorship Audits and Blueprints for Airtel across 17 Opco’s in Africa, a full Bonitas sponsorship review including scorecard development and an Afrikaans Festival Sustainability study.

Annalie is considered to be South Africa’s foremost Sponsorship Valuation specialist having completed in excess of 150 Sponsorship Property Valuations over the past 10 years, ranging from sporting teams to sporting events, music and arts festivals to broadcast rights and stadium valuations.

Repucom clients serviced include SA Rugby, Cricket South Africa, Botswana Football Association, Botswana Premier League, Barclays/Absa, Red Bull, Bonitas, Peermont, SAB, Ironman SA, Comrades Marathon, Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon, SABC, Airtel.
