Sport Industry Awards 2018


ABSA’s brilliant use of a sponsorship platform to drive an educational campaign, Toyota’s ground breaking social media work, SA Rugby’s HSBC Cape Town Sevens re-writes the fan experience once again and Luxolo September took the honours as the leading personality of the industry.Then on top of this, we had new winners for the Agency and Young Agency of the Year. What a night!

All of these and more amounted to the key moments highlighted at the sport industry’s biggest night of the year.

The evening was attended by the likes of members of the Blitzboks, Mark Fish, Romy Titus, Lebo Motsoeli, Bruce Fordyce, Uyanda Mbuli and many more

The Sport Industry Awards 2018 took place on 17th August at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The very best work from across the industry was recognised and celebrated in front of a room of industry peers and stars from sport and beyond at the 8th Sport Industry Awards. It was a thrilling evening of celebrations and exciting moments

Contestants competed across multiple categories including the major categories such as Campaign of the Year, Brand of the Year and Agency of the Year. Multiple categories were given revamped criteria, while Audio Visual Content of the Year was given a facelift and a new name.

Criteria were adjusted for the following categories: Young Agency of the Year, Agency of the Year, Development Programme of the Year and Cutting Edge Sport Award.
